Quakes Stoppage Time: Player Protests Postpone Match

I drove to the San Jose Earthquakes vs. Portland Timbers game Wednesday night, parked, and then told it was canceled.

In the meantime, I spoke with a few other reporters and learned that we weren't going to hear from any players or coaches on the day because they had Tier 1 status and we had Tier 3, meaning we couldn't occupy the same areas.

Good on the players for using their platform to protest -- fighting systemic racism is more important than a soccer game.
